Maha Shivratri

Maha Shivratri is a Hindu festival that is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the three major deities in Hinduism. It is celebrated annually on the 14th night of the new moon in the month of Phalguna or Magha (which falls between February and March in the Gregorian calendar).

The festival is observed by devotees of Lord Shiva all over India and in other parts of the world. On this day, devotees usually fast, chant mantras, and offer prayers to Lord Shiva in temples or at home. They also observe night-long vigils and perform rituals such as bathing the Shiva Linga with milk, honey, and water.

Maha Shivratri is considered an auspicious day for spiritual growth and self-realization. It is believed that Lord Shiva bestows his blessings on his devotees on this day and fulfills their wishes. The festival holds significant cultural and religious importance in Hinduism and is celebrated with great fervor and devotion.
