Rana Mahal Ghat
Rana Mahal Ghat is one of the ghats (riverfront steps leading to the river) located along the banks of the Ganges River in Varanasi, India. It is situated between Darbhanga Ghat and Raj Ghat, in the northern part of the city.
Rana Mahal Ghat is known for its beautiful and ornate palaces that were once owned by the royal family of Nepal. The palaces are built in a blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architectural styles, and they feature intricate carvings, frescoes, and paintings.
In addition to the palaces, Rana Mahal Ghat also has a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is believed to be one of the oldest temples in Varanasi. The ghat is a popular spot for religious rituals and ceremonies, and it attracts both locals and tourists.
Like other ghats in Varanasi, Rana Mahal Ghat is also a popular place for taking a boat ride on the Ganges, especially during the early morning and evening hours when the light is soft and the river is quieter.
