Nishad Ghat
Nishad Ghat is a popular ghat (a series of steps leading down to a body of water) located in Varanasi, India. It is situated on the banks of the river Ganges and is known for its spiritual and religious significance.
The ghat is named after the Nishad community, who traditionally were the fishermen and boatmen of the region. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ram, his wife Sita, and his brother Lakshman crossed the Ganges at Nishad Ghat during their exile period. It is also believed that the great sage Narada meditated at this spot.
Today, Nishad Ghat is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to take a dip in the holy river Ganges, perform rituals, and offer prayers to the deities. It is also a popular location for boat rides and sightseeing.
