Vaccharaja Ghat
Vaccharaja Ghat is one of the numerous ghats (a series of steps leading down to a body of water) situated on the banks of the sacred river Ganges in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is named after a prominent sage named Vaccharaja who was believed to have performed his religious practices at this ghat.
Vaccharaja Ghat is a popular spot for performing religious rituals and ceremonies such as pind daan (a Hindu ritual of offering food to the deceased ancestors), tarpan (a ritual of offering water to the ancestors), and other devotional practices. It is also considered to be an auspicious spot for taking a dip in the holy river Ganges as it is believed to wash away sins and bestow blessings.
Furthermore, Vaccharaja Ghat is renowned for its magnificent architecture and is frequently visited by tourists and pilgrims. It is also a common venue for several cultural events such as music and dance performances during the annual Ganga Mahotsav festival held in Varanasi.
